Sending a Fax Manually (after Talking)

1 Pick up the handset.

•For hands-off operation, press OHD/V.Req. The dis-

play shows ‘PHONE.’

•To adjust the speaker volume, press

to set the proper volume.

2 Enter the number of the remote fax machine by

using the number keypad.

•If a person answers the telephone, ask him/her to press

Start/Enter for the fax signal so that you can send the

document.

3 Press Start/Enter when you hear the fax tone.

•If you have set Multiple ID option to ON via User

Option, you will be asked ‘CHANGE ID? Y/N’ as

soon as you press Start/Enter. If you want to use

another ID instead of default ID (#1), answer ‘Y’ and

select the ID you want by pressing

•The machine automatically scans the document into

memory and begins to transmit.

4 Replace the handset.

•You can check that a fax has been received by pressing

OHD/V.Req. to talk after a transmission.

“Voice Request” on page 3-11.
